Mountain Counties Water Resources Association Welcomes Lumos & Associates as New Associate Member
MOUNTAIN COUNTIES, Calif. August 25, 2025 – The Mountain Counties Water Resources Association (MCWRA) is pleased to announce that Lumos & Associates has joined the Association as an Associate Member.
Lumos & Associates is a regional, multidisciplinary engineering firm with eight offices across Nevada, California, and Idaho - including El Dorado Hills, Lake Tahoe, Reno, and a recent expansion to Roseville. The firm provides civil engineering, structural engineering, surveying and mapping, geotechnical and construction services. They offer specialized expertise in water resources, from dam reconstructions and storage tanks to underground utility replacements, pipeline design, and system modeling. Lumos is dedicated to fostering innovation and delivering resilient infrastructure that supports the long-term operations of communities and water agencies.

As an Associate Member, Lumos & Associates joins a diverse coalition of public and private sector organizations dedicated to safeguarding California’s mountain water resources. MCWRA’s Associate Members play a vital role in advancing educational outreach, policy initiatives, and regional partnerships that benefit mountain communities and ecosystems.
MCWRA currently serves over 50 Executive, Affiliate, and Associate Members across 12 mountain counties, including Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Mariposa, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sierra, Tuolumne, and Yuba.
Mountain Counties Water Resources Association Mission is to promote the statewide importance of Sierra Nevada water resources through advocacy and collaboration. Our vision is to be the premiere advocate to influence water policy and protection of the Sierra Nevada watershed. This Mission is realized through strengthening Members’ regional leadership, collaboration, information sharing, issue awareness, education, advocacy, and potential legislative action or legal support.
